Tariq has over 20 years of experience in digital/software sales and business management with the following international organizations: IBM, Ericsson and Schneider Electric/AVEVA. He is highly skilled in team development and managing regional and international sales.

Tariq started his career with IBM, where he worked for 12 years in various sales roles in the EMEA region. As a Sales Director for IBM’s META region, he established IBM rational to be the market leader in 2012.

Ericsson hired Tariq in 2012 as VP ICT/IOT for the MEA region. He grew the Ericsson software business within three years and led the team to win the largest-ever single IOT deal.

Most recently, Tariq was in a leadership role at AVEVA, where he managed a cross functional team of 120+ professionals within the software business as the head of the Middle East & Africa region for AVEVA. Tariq joined Schneider Electric/AVEVA in 2017 where he led the software Monitoring & Control business for the EMEA region, delivering double digit growth for the business within three years.
Tariq holds a Ph.D. in electronics engineering from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
