AspenTech and its customers must comply with US law when selling, exporting or reexporting AspenTech software and technical information.
Export Administration Regulations
In general, no license is required to export or reexport our software products and technology.
The US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) regulate the export and reexport of our software and technical information to foreign countries or to foreign nationals in the US.
Most of our software products are designated EAR99, which is the least restrictive classification, while some of our software products have a specific Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), which is potentially more restrictive than an EAR99 designation.

Prohibited End Users
Regardless of designation, our software products and technology may not be sold, exported or reexported to any person or entity on the Denied Persons List or the Entity List maintained by the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security.
In addition, our software products and technology may not be sold, exported or reexported to any person or entity named on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List maintained by the US Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control to target certain foreign countries (such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea, North Sudan and Syria), terrorism-sponsoring organizations, and international narcotics traffickers.
Prohibited/Restricted End Use
Our software products and technology also may not be sold, exported or reexported for purposes of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
