Steven has dedicated much of his career to the success of his customers in the process industries who apply technology solutions to drive business improvements. He currently leads AspenTech’s Customer Success organization and company-wide effort to ensure that customers capture and grow value from their asset optimization and sustainability solutions. 

With experience working both as a customer and a supplier of technology solutions, Steven is passionate about how technology companies can help customers accelerate the value capture of their technology investments through professional services and customer support, and how they can help their customers develop organizational excellence that adds value continuously to their digital transformation journey.

Steven has been with AspenTech for over 24 years. Prior to AspenTech, he spent 6 years at Occidental Chemical Corp. developing and implementing technical solutions for various chemical manufacturing processes. Steven earned his PhD and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA, and his Bachelor of Science degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
