HD Hyundai Oilbank, a major South Korean refinery, produces gasoline, diesel, kerosene, jet fuel, LPG and naphtha. Due to changes in feed blending ratios every two days, engineers spent significant time recalibrating process simulation models before each use.

To streamline this, the engineering team implemented online process simulation models using Aspen HYSYS^® across seven process units. This enabled them to:
