David is a Sr. Product Manager in Itron based out of Austin, TX, responsible for advancing Itron’s Distributed Intelligence (DI) grid management portfolio and focused on bringing value to utilities through meter-based intelligence. His corporate experience includes work in Eaton’s corporate innovation space, where he led a group responsible for energy management technologies, as well as work in Schneider Electric consulting on the design of systems within utility and site-level projects. His innovation background started with founding a technology startup within the energy sector alongside a consulting prototyping company, and he works today as an independent technical advisor to the US Department of Energy. David received his BS, MS, and PhD from Arizona State University in Electrical Engineering with a focus on data science and predictive controls within power systems, an MBA from Boston University.
