Aspen Supply Chain Connect™
Enables dynamic supply chains through superior enterprise
connectivity along with data and model management
Aspen Supply Chain Connect is an enterprise-level
solution that seamlessly integrates the aspenONE® Planning and
Scheduling suite with ERP solutions. It has the ability to rapidly
move huge quantities of real-time data from multiple sources
through a relational database repository, providing the foundation
for multi-user collaborative planning and scheduling, web-based
reporting, and analytics. Aspen Supply Chain Connect is a
core element of AspenTech’s aspenONE Planning and Scheduling
applications.
Features
- Product Components: Supply Chain Data
Repository, Integration Engine, Data Manager, and Model
Manager
- Supply Chain Data Repository: Serves as the
central hub and synchronization server for all the key business
data exchanged with ERP systems or data warehouses, as well as data
exchanged between business functions and aspenONE Planning and
Scheduling applications. Also built in are a number of referential
integrity checks that allow the repository to optionally add
missing data to the tables.
- Integration Engine: Uses high-performance ETL
technology to extract, transform, and load data for AspenTech
solutions. This integration engine executes all data transformation
functions in-memory optimizing the transformation speed and can
load the Supply Chain data repository directly with the ERP
extracted bulk data or use a distributed architecture approach.
- Data Management: A reporting and editing tool
for quickly accessing and analyzing information either for
validation or as part of the business process. It provides a data
collection and retrieval facility to allow manual data entry and
import/export of Excel data. Also provided is role-based access
control for managing data in the centralized database.
- Model Management: Controls access and storage
of the applications for each business unit or functional area,
essential for companies with centralized support or automated batch
processes and facilitates checking models in and out. It also
includes the business processes required to control access and
manage changes to the Supply Chain Planning applications.
