Information management system for real-time manufacturing processes
Aspen InfoPlus.21 collects and stores large volumes of process data for analysis and reporting, providing a versatile development environment for creating unique, real-time applications. This process data repository forms the core of a plant and enterprise-level manufacturing integration platform, uniting data across process control, manufacturing operations, and business systems. Aspen InfoPlus.21 is a core element of AspenTech’s aspenONE® Production Management and Execution applications.

- Powerful, flexible history repository with direct record access: Supports multiple history repositories and custom objects, facilitating storage and retrieval of important records. Direct record access is provided through search tree technology.
- Analysis: Aspen Calc™; a wizard-driven, scalable calculation engine⎯aids users in building calculations without the need for programming languages. Advanced Analysis and Intelligent Decision Support tools support operational excellence initiatives.
- Visualization: A rich set of desktop, web, and portal-based visualization tools address specific plant and enterprise needs.
- Object-oriented, real-time application environment: Enables users to quickly create maintainable, business-specific, real-time applications (based on Aspen SQLplus™).
- Access to models online: Aspen InfoPlus.21 works with Aspen Online Deployment™, providing connectivity to online engineering models for real-time decision support without programming.
- Support for workflow standards: AspenTech makes extensive use of standards to facilitate reuse of information and reduce total cost of ownership. ISA-S95 and WitsML standards are employed, covering workflows in production data management, production analysis, and drilling.
- Process control systems integration: OPC and PRODML are incorporated into Aspen Cim-IO™, a standard interface platform allowing AspenTech’s real-time databases and applications to read and write real-time and historical data from DCSs or PLCs and other types of real-time databases.
- Enterprise-wide security: Aspen Framework security allows for an enterprise-wide security solution based on Microsoft’s Active Directory.
- Integration platform: Aspen InfoPlus.21, in combination with Aspen Integration Infrastructure™ and Aspen Operations Domain Model™, facilitates improved plant-wide information flow through integration with supply chain and ERP systems.
