AspenTech's Asia Pacific Headquarters Opens in Shanghai
Enhancing our position in a dynamic marketplace
On May 24th, AspenTech opened its new Asia Pacific headquarters in Shanghai, China, with a ceremony attended by key customers including Sinopec, PetroChina and CNOOC, major strategic partners Microsoft and Accenture, and local journalists. Mark Fusco, president and CEO of AspenTech, delivered welcome remarks and, along with AspenTech’s APAC regional management and staff, inaugurated the office. This new facility demonstrates AspenTech’s commitment to its customers and partners both in China and the APAC region, and will allow the company to respond quickly to opportunities in a dynamic marketplace where significant growth is expected in the next decade.
AspenTech’s new Shanghai office:
- Enhances support to its expanding customer base in China and the APAC region
- Provides a first-class Research & Development facility for 50 product development and quality assurance specialists focused on aspenONE solutions
- Contains a Solutions Center with a highly-skilled staff of local experts to accelerate regional growth
Located in the Zhangjiang High-Tech Zone in Shanghai’s Pudong district, the new office currently houses 70 employees, including both Sales and R&D staff. Building a team of local experts proficient in AspenTech’s entire portfolio of best-in-class applications and solutions will enable it to better understand and address local requirements, helping Chinese and Asia Pacific customers deploy its solutions most effectively.
AspenTech has been working with process industry companies in China for over 20 years, establishing its first formal collaboration with China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) in 1993. This relationship has strengthened in recent years, as demonstrated by the 2002 long-term agreement between the companies to implement a range of AspenTech’s manufacturing and supply chain solutions as part of Sinopec’s drive to increase operational efficiency.
We invite you to visit our new Asia Pacific headquarters -- a world-class facility that reflects the superior quality, innovation, and customer service that are the hallmarks of Aspen Technology, both in this expanding region and all around the world.
