- Mark E. Fusco, President and
Chief Executive Officer 
- Mark E. Fusco joined AspenTech as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2005, bringing to that role more than 14 years of executive management experience in global IT consulting and software development. Most recently, Fusco served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Ajilon Consulting USA, a $400 million IT consulting firm with 40 offices and over 4,000 employees. Fusco joined the Ajilon Consulting executive team in 1999 with the acquisition of Software Quality Partners (SQP), an IT consulting firm specializing in software quality assurance and testing which he co-founded in 1990 and led as President until its sale. Fusco is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School, and served as a member of AspenTech’s Board of Directors during 2004.
- Antonio Pietri, Executive Vice President, Field Operations

- Antonio Pietri joined AspenTech in 1996 and serves as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations, based in Burlington, Massachusetts. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Regional Operations, Asia Pacific from his base in Beijing, China. During his tenure at AspenTech, Pietri has held a variety of sales and business development positions, beginning in 1993 as sales manager for Setpoint Inc., a company which AspenTech acquired in 1996. In 1998, he became Program Director for the implementation of AspenTech’s integrated refining solution at two refineries for a major European client, and later served as a consultant to a super major in a program to coordinate and run its manufacturing business processes. Pietri relocated to Singapore in 2002 as Vice President, Business Consulting, and was subsequently promoted to Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining AspenTech, he was employed by ABB Simcon as an applications engineer, implementing advanced control and multi-variable controllers on refining processes. Pietri holds an MBA degree from the University of Houston and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
- Bradley T. Miller, Senior Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer 
- Bradley T. Miller joined AspenTech as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2006, bringing over 20 years of financial management and executive leadership experience. Miller is responsible for the Company’s global financial operations and oversees all treasury, investor, and information technology functions. Miller brings an extensive public company background which includes building financial systems which are scalable on a global basis. In his most recent role, Miller was CFO at Viisage Technology, a publicly traded identity solutions hardware and software company, where he successfully managed a $100 million private equity investment and the merger with Identix and L-1 Identity Solutions. Prior to joining Viisage, Miller served as vice president, finance and corporate controller of Sonus Networks where he successfully steered the company through a period of substantial change in its global financial operations. Miller also held executive financial management roles at Sapient, Juniornet and Wang Global. He previously was a member of the audit practice with Coopers and Lybrand where he earned his C. P. A. license. Miller is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, and holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.
- Willie K. Chan, Senior Vice President, Research & Development

- Willie K. Chan joined AspenTech in 1982 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Research & Development, bringing to this role more than 20 years of experience in developing computer software for optimizing the performance of chemical and refining processes. Chan was a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ASPEN research program that later became AspenTech, and since joining AspenTech has held a variety of technical and management positions. Most recently, he was Vice President, R&D in the Products organization, where he led the production of the first release of aspenONE™. Previously, Chan served as Vice President, R&D and Operations for Engineering Products, where he led the integration of the Hyprotech products and development teams following AspenTech’s acquisition of Hyprotech, Inc. In a prior role as Director of Planning and Operations for Engineering Products, Chan led the development of the Aspen Engineering Suite, including the equation-oriented simulation capabilities for Aspen Plus. He assumed this position after serving as Product Manager and Technical Director for Aspen Plus, leading the production of the first Microsoft Windows® version of Aspen Plus. He began his career at AspenTech by leading the development of the separations and petroleum technologies for Aspen Plus and related products. Chan holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- Frederic G. Hammond, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

- Frederic G. Hammond joined AspenTech in 2005 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, with global responsibility for corporate governance and legal matters. Hammond brings nearly two decades of experience in public company general counsel and global operational and transactional experience to his role at AspenTech, having most recently handled SEC disclosure and other public company issues as a partner at the Boston office of the law firm Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP. Prior to his association with that firm, Hammond was Vice President of Business Affairs and General Counsel at Gomez Advisors, Inc., an Internet performance measurement and benchmarking technology service firm, with responsibilities for corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and creditor restructurings and commercial contracts management. He held earlier positions as General Counsel of Avid Technology, a publicly-held international leader in digital video and audio editing, special effects and production solutions; and as a member of the corporate department of the law firm of Ropes & Gray in Boston. Hammond is a graduate of Boston College Law School, cum laude, and Yale College.
- Manolis Kotzabasakis, Senior Vice President, Sales and Strategy

- Manolis Kotzabasakis joined AspenTech in 1997, and is responsible for AspenTech’s worldwide sales operations and business development. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing, directing the company’s activities related to business planning, corporate and product marketing, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Kotzabasakis served as Chief Executive Officer at Linnhoff March, a process software and design firm, prior to his association with AspenTech. He was an associate professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1992. Kotzabasakis holds PhD and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from UMIST, and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
- Henry Lau, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Regional Sales and Services, APAC

- Henry Lau joined AspenTech in early 2007 as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Regional Sales and Services, for the APAC region where he brings more than 30 years of sales, marketing, engineering, and management experience to the position. Prior to joining AspenTech, Henry served as Managing Director of APAC for Psion Teklogix, a leading provider of rugged mobile computing solutions, where he had full P&L responsibility and helped grow the Asia Pacific business more than 80% in two years. Before that, Henry served as Managing Director for the Greater China/Korea/ASEAN region for Avid Technology, the world leader in digital non-linear media creation, management, and distribution solutions. While at Avid, Henry helped the company more than double its Asia business over a four-year period. Henry has also held various senior-level management positions at Tandem Computers, Intergraph Systems, Apple Computers, Unisys, Cray Research and Sperry Univac. Henry also held senior management positions in various government ministries in the Singapore Civil Service. Henry Lau has a BSC in Systems Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of Bath, U.K under a Singapore Government Colombo Plan Scholarship.
- Richard Packwood, Senior Vice President, Business Development

- Richard Packwood joined AspenTech in October 2005 as Senior Vice President, Business Development, and has responsibility for guiding AspenTech’s long-term business development strategy. Packwood comes to AspenTech with extensive experience in both formulating and implementing corporate strategies for a range of international businesses, most recently as Senior Vice President for Business Development at Ajilon Consulting. In this position he played a key role in the growth of the company as a member of its executive team, with responsibilities that included developing business strategy, establishing a new direction for international operations, and overseeing a number of major acquisitions. Before joining Ajilon, Packwood was Vice President for Operations for ProVision Technologies, and was a strategic management consultant for the Parthenon Group and Bain & Company. Packwood is a graduate of Durham University in England and holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- Steve Pringle, Senior Vice President, aspenONE

- Steve Pringle joined AspenTech in 1996 and serves as Senior Vice President, aspenONE sales. He was most recently Senior Vice President, Global Consulting Services, after serving in previous roles at AspenTech as Vice President, Manufacturing/Supply Chain; Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Software Development; and Vice President, Consulting Services. During his earlier career, Pringle acquired extensive experience in the process industry software business, initially with Duke Energy (formerly Texas Eastern Corp.), and subsequently with Bethany International, and Scientific Software-Intercomp (SSI). In 1990, he founded and led as President Kinesix Corp., a division of SSI, until he joined AspenTech. Pringle holds both MSc and BS degrees from Louisiana Tech.
- Michele Triponey, Senior Vice President, Global Customer Support, Training, and Aspen Professional Services

- Michele Triponey joined AspenTech in October 2005 as Senior Vice President, Global Customer Support and Training, with responsibility for maintaining industry best practices throughout AspenTech’s worldwide customer support and training business. Recently, she also assumed responsibility for Aspen Professional Services. Triponey brings to AspenTech an extensive background in delivering cost-effective, high quality IT support services to major industrial, pharmaceutical and financial companies. Prior to joining AspenTech, she served as Vice President for Information Technology Services at Ajilon Consulting and managed the Customer Support and Help Desk practice, leading an international team that developed customer support strategies for major businesses. Before joining Ajilon, she was responsible for system administration at Synertech, and gained further IT management experience in earlier positions with Keystone Medical Solutions and Bloomsburg University. Triponey is a graduate of Clarion University in Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Bloomsburg University.
- Blair Wheeler, Senior Vice President, Marketing

- Blair Wheeler joined AspenTech in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Marketing and leads the company's product management, product marketing, corporate marketing, and partners organizations. Wheeler brings to AspenTech oil and gas industry experience and over 20 years of technology marketing, product management, and partner development experience. Prior to joining AspenTech, Wheeler led marketing at Relicore, Inc., a privately-funded company that provides enterprise IT infrastructure management software. Before his association with Relicore, he ran strategic business development projects for the Applications Technology Group at Cisco Systems, and was Vice President of Business Development at WebLine Communications prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Wheeler’s experience also includes senior-level positions at Avid Technology, The Boston Consulting Group, and Amoco Production Company. He holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a BS degree in Geology and Geophysics from Yale College.
- Hedwig Veith Whitney, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

- Hedwig “Hedy” Whitney joined AspenTech in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and is responsible for designing and implementing AspenTech’s global organizational management practices. Whitney brings to AspenTech an extensive background in leading human resources initiatives in diverse and rapidly-changing organizations. Prior to joining AspenTech, she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at New England Business Service, Inc., a leading business-to-business enterprise with 4300 employees that serves over 3 million small business customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France. Prior to her association with New England Business Service, Whitney held human resources leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, Bank of Boston, BayBanks, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the University of Massachusetts. Whitney served as Board Chair for the Make a Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, 2002 - 2006, and is a member of The Boston Club, and has previously served as Board Chairman of New England College of Finance. She holds a JD degree from Suffolk University Law School and a BA degree from Hamilton College.
- David “Woody” Woodruff, Senior Vice President, Regional Sales and Services, Americas

- David “Woody” Woodruff joined AspenTech in 2003 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Regional Sales and Services, Americas. Woodruff brings more than 20 years of senior executive and management experience in high tech companies to this role, having most recently served as Vice President, North America Operations for Invensys. In this and previous roles at Invensys, he managed over $350 million in customer engagements and grew the Western Operations business by 20% per year. Prior to joining Invensys, Woodruff held several senior-level positions in sales, operations, and marketing at companies such as Honeywell, ABB, and Fisher Controls. He holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
