    Antonio Pietri, President and Chief Executive Officer

    Antonio Pietri is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AspenTech, and also serves on the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment to President and CEO, Pietri served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations, where he led global Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services, and Customer Support & Training. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Regional Operations, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore and Beijing, China.

    Pietri joined AspenTech through the company’s acquisition of Setpoint, Inc. in 1996. At Setpoint, Pietri held a range of sales, services implementation, and consulting roles, where he oversaw integration of AspenTech solutions at European refinery and process manufacturing sites. In 2002, he relocated to Singapore as Vice President, Business Consulting, and was subsequently promoted to Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region.

    Pietri began his career at ABB Simcon as an applications engineer focused on advanced control and multi-variable controllers for refining. Pietri holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.

    Mark Sullivan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

    Mark Sullivan joined AspenTech in 2009 and serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Sullivan brings to AspenTech over twenty years of financial management and executive leadership, including 14 years in financial executive roles at Fidelity Investments, a $12+ billion diversified financial services company. At Fidelity, Sullivan served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, for Fidelity Employer Services Company, a multi-billion dollar business focused on providing HR outsourcing and employee retirement and benefits services. While at Fidelity, Sullivan also held a number of other financial leadership roles including Executive Vice President for the Office of the CFO.

    Previously, Sullivan served as Chief Operating Officer, Principal Finance and Accounting Officer for Westerbeke Corporation, a manufacturer, global importer and distributor of engine and air conditioning products. Sullivan also served as Consulting Manager in the Business Investigatory Services group of Coopers & Lybrand, a public accounting and professional services firm, and he also held financial leadership roles with Analog Devices, an integrated circuit manufacturer. Sullivan graduated with a B.A in Economics from Middlebury College and has an M.S. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Manolis Kotzabasakis, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

    Manolis Kotzabasakis joined AspenTech in 1997 and serves as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, Research & Development. In this role he leads the creation of AspenTech's technical/scientific vision and strategy on a global basis.

    Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, Products where he led all product functions at the company including Product Management, R&D, QA, and Product Operations. Prior to that Manolis served as Senior Vice President, Sales & Strategy, where he led the company’s worldwide sales operations, product management and business development. He also held the title of Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing, directing the company's activities related to business planning, corporate and product marketing, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to AspenTech, Kotzabasakis served as Chief Executive Officer at Linnhoff March, a process software and design firm. He was an associate professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1992.

    Kotzabasakis holds PhD and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from UMIST, and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

    James Boozer, Senior Vice President, Americas and SMB Sales

    James Boozer is Senior Vice President, Americas and SMB Sales. In this role he is responsible for the company’s North American, Latin American and Small and Medium Business sales organizations.  He joined AspenTech in 2006 and has also served as Vice President, North America Sales with responsibility for major accounts in the Energy, Chemical and Engineering & Construction markets.  Prior to AspenTech, Boozer held several sales leadership roles at Oracle and Cisco Systems.

    Boozer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston.

    Josh Fredberg, Senior Vice President, Products

    Josh Fredberg is AspenTech’s Senior Vice President of Products, responsible for product strategy and product management.  Prior to joining AspenTech in 2015, Fredberg was Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at the engineering simulation software company, Ansys.  Before joining ANSYS, he was Senior Vice President of Product and Market Strategy at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), where he worked on industry strategy, marketing and business development.  Prior to joining PTC, he held leadership roles with ARIBA and Andersen Consulting Strategic Services.

    Fredberg holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

    Frederic G. Hammond, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

    Frederic G. Hammond joined AspenTech in 2005 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary with global responsibility for corporate governance and legal matters. Hammond has over two decades of experience in public company general counsel and global operational and transactional experience.

    Prior to AspenTech, he handled SEC disclosure and other public company and technology issues as a partner at a Boston law firm. Before that, Hammond was Vice President of Business Affairs and General Counsel at Gomez Advisors, Inc., an Internet performance measurement and benchmarking technology service firm, with responsibilities for corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and creditor restructurings and commercial contracts management.

    He held earlier positions as General Counsel of Avid Technology, the publicly-held international leader in digital video and audio editing, special effects and production solutions; and as a member of the corporate department of the law firm of Ropes & Gray. Hammond is a graduate of Boston College Law School, cum laude, and Yale College.

    Glover Lawrence, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

    Glover Lawrence is AspenTech’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and is responsible for the company’s corporate development and business planning processes. Previously, he held a variety of corporate development roles in investment banking and high technology environments, most recently at Avid Technology. At Avid he led acquisition strategy and managed the company’s strategic planning processes, working closely with Executive Management and the Board of Directors.

    Lawrence began his career with Morgan Stanley as a financial analyst where he performed mergers and acquisition analyses for a number of clients including companies in the Chemical and Manufacturing industries. At Hambrecht & Quist (now part of JPMorgan), he advised clients on strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures, and he has served as a Managing Director in the Venture Fund at Oracle. He also co-founded and served for five years as a Managing Director with McNamee Lawrence & Co., an international investment banking advisory firm, before joining Avid.

    Lawrence holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yale and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

    Joanna Nikka, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

    Joanna Nikka joined AspenTech in 2008 and is responsible for designing and implementing the company's global organizational management practices and leading the delivery of human resources services worldwide.

    In executive roles prior to joining AspenTech, Nikka drove human resources and organizational development strategies that helped to fuel the growth of industry leaders such as Millipore and Analog Devices. She has also held human resources senior management and leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, Tele Atlas, Symbolics, and Data General, and has run her own consulting practice specializing in executive and organizational development.

    Nikka received her BA degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and her MBA from Babson College.

    Suresh Sundaram, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing

    Dr. Suresh Sundaram is AspenTech’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Since joining AspenTech in 1992, Sundaram has held a number of leadership positions in the areas of software development, product management, product marketing, and sales operations. With deep knowledge of the process industries, Sundaram has been an integral part of key development and commercial initiatives at the core of AspenTech’s success – including his role in the creation and implementation of the aspenONE Licensing model. Most recently, Sundaram served as Vice President of Product Management where he led the development and launch of the new aspenONE and of aspenONE Exchange.

    Sundaram began his career as a Process Engineer at Chevron focused on refinery planning. He holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay, and has completed the Executive Education program from the Harvard Business School.

    Paul Taylor, Senior Vice President, International Sales

    Paul Taylor leads the company’s International sales organizations, with overall responsibility for APAC (Asia Pacific), EURA (Europe and southern Africa), and MENA (Middle East and northern Africa). He came to AspenTech in 2008 as Vice President of EURA Sales.  Prior to AspenTech, he held senior sales leadership positions at Lotus/IBM, Vitria and Borland.

    Throughout his sales career, Taylor has been responsible for European, Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, and at Vitria he was responsible for worldwide sales operations.  He has lived and worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Europe.  He began his career in the R&D Department of Imperial Chemical Industries in the UK.

    Michele Triponey, Senior Vice President, Global Services

    Michele Triponey has served as Senior Vice President of Global Services at AspenTech since 2005 where she has implemented industry best practices across AspenTech's customer facing Support, Training, and Professional Services businesses.

    Prior to joining AspenTech, Triponey served as Vice President for Information Technology Services at Ajilon Consulting and managed the Customer Support and Help Desk practice. As the business lead, she directed an international team serving industrial, pharmaceutical, and financial services customers, and focused on strategies to increase customer service levels at reduced costs. Before joining Ajilon, Triponey was responsible for system administration at Synertech, and held positions at Keystone Medical Solutions and Bloomsburg University. Triponey is a graduate of Clarion University in Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Bloomsburg University.
